CAMPBELLTON, N.B. – Evan Gallant of Abram-Village earned a pair of assists for the Pictou County Crushers on Saturday night.
The Crushers dropped a 4-3 road decision to the Campbellton Tigers.
Rookie defenceman Lucas MacAulay of Cardigan scored his first goal of the season for the Tigers. It was MacAulay’s first point of the year as well.
Gallant now has four points – one goal and three assists – in 11 regular-season games in his rookie campaign in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
Elsewhere on Saturday evening, Yarmouth Mariners goaltender Tyler Caseley of Kensington stopped seven of eight shots after relieving starter Alex McVicar at 13:43 of the second period. The Mariners lost 5-4 to the visiting South Shore Lumberjacks.
