CRAPAUD, P.E.I. – Friday was another record-setting day at the Atlantic Classic Sale at the Crapaud Exhibition Grounds.
The sale topper was a Credit Winner colt purchased by Donna Van Meer of Ontario for $26,000. This was an Atlantic record for a trotter. This handsome colt was consigned by Meridian Farms of Milton.
The top-selling pacer was a Malicious colt purchased by Peter Smith of Stratford, for $24,500. This colt was consigned by Allan McNeil of Windsor, N.S. The top selling pacing filly was also purchased by Peter Smith for $18,500, and was consigned by Blair Campbell of North Wiltshire.
“The trot prices reflected the tremendous support of the regional trot stakes program by Meridian Farms,” said sale manager Wayne Pike.
The top-selling trot filly was Dusty Lane Manney selling for $8,000 to Al McNeil of Nova Scotia. The consignor was Ronnie and Dianne Gass of Dusty Lane Farms of Cornwall.
