CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Chasse Gallant was a one-man wrecking crew as his six-point night powered the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to a 6-4 win over the A&S Scrap Metals Metros Wednesday in Island Junior Hockey League action in Charlottetown.
Gallant scored twice in the second period and potted the eventual game-winning goal in the third. He added a first-period score and chipped in two assists.
Spencer Groom (1-3) and Chandler Wood (1-1) tallied the other Wings markers, while Calvin MacRae threw in a pair of helpers.
Grant Koughan, Nick Currie, Connor Gray and Alex Hambly netted the Metros goals.
Bronson Banks recorded the win over Ben Parent.
The Metros outshot the Wings 50-43. Each team had two power-play goals.
The game was tied 1-1 after the first period. Western led 4-2 at the second intermission.
