A year ago Sunday the Toronto Raptors responded to a tough NBA Finals loss at Oakland to seize full control over Golden State.
Kawhi Leonard had one of his best games of the playoffs, scoring 36 points, along with 12 rebounds and four steals. He was completely dominant. Add in perhaps the game of Serge Ibaka’s life at the perfect time (20 points on 9-for-12 shooting off the bench) and a big night for Pascal Siakam and the Raptors moved to the verge of history, despite 56 combined points from the Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
Thanks to a tremendous third quarter, the Raptors would return to Canada with a chance to clinch the title in front of their fans.
