MORELL, P.E.I. — The Alley Stratford Athletics defeated the Northside Brewers 8-3 Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five Kings County Baseball League semifinal.
Dan O’Shea was the winning pitcher while Jonathan Arsenault got the final eight outs for the save.
Jason Maclean took the loss with relief from Nigel Fisher and Isac Compton. Grant Grady and Randy Taylor led the A's at the plate with two hits each while the Brewers were led by Fisher, who had three hits.
The Athletics will look to complete the sweep in Game 3 Wednesday in Stratford beginning at 7:30 p.m.
