CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Subway Sluggers recovered from an early deficit to down Ms. Fits 11-5 in recent exhibition women’s fastpitch softball in Charlottetown.

The Ms. Fits jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Ella Gould scored in the top of the first inning, but the Sluggers tied things 1-1 in the bottom of the third when Janet Nichols scored.

Then the Sluggers exploded for five runs in the fourth and fifth innings and put the game away.

Ms. Fits plated a run in the sixth and three in the seventh to round out the scoring.

Tammy Murphy (2-for-3) and Ginette Plourde (1-for-2) led the Sluggers at the plate, while Gould, Laura Ready and Dom Arsenault were all 2-for-4 to pace Ms. Fits’ offence.
