MORELL, P.E.I. — The Morell Chevies scored four times in the first inning and continued the trend, drubbing the Northside Brewers 16-3 Wednesday night.
Troy Coffin earned the win, throwing four innings before giving way to Logan Gallant, who pitched the final three frames in the Kings County Baseball League contest.
For the Brewers, Jayden MacLean left after only one inning with an apparent injury, giving way to Brian Linton.
Darcy Affleck had three hits in five trips to the plate to lead the Chevies. Scott Harper, Jarrod Laybolt and Carter McGrath added two hits apiece. Coffin and Gallant also added home runs in the game.
Isaac Compton (3-3) led the Brewers while Patrick Young and Jed MacEwen had two hits.
