The Peakes Tee Bombers were able to end their losing streak by defeating the Cardigan Clippers 4-3 Sunday afternoon in Cardigan in Kings County Baseball League action.
The Clippers jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the second inning and then added another in the fourth but the Bombers pitching, and defence would limit them to that for the remainder of the game while they scored three of their own in the third inning and added one more in the fifth.
Josh Coffin recorded the pitching win, throwing a complete game, striking out four and walking only one. Dean Carroll was on the losing side as he also went the distance, striking out one batter.
At the plate, Coffin and Tyson McInnis both were 2-for-3 with a run scored to lead the Bombers while Matt Bradley went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI. Quinn Hughes and Carter MacLellan were each 2-for-3 to pace the Clippers.
