MORELL, P.E.I. — The Morell Chevies took both ends of a Kings County Baseball League doubleheader Wednesday night in Morell against the Northside Brewers, rallying from a 10-3 deficit to take the opener 13-12 decision before winning the nightcap 9-1.

In the opener, the Brewers jumped out to a 10-3 lead after four innings, including a three-run home run off the bat of Nigel Fisher.
Stephen O'Shea entered the game in relief and held the Brewers in check while the Chevies mounted their rally with four-run innings in both the fourth and sixth innings to take a 12-10 lead. The Brewers fought back with two runs in the top of the seventh, only to see the Chevies win on a Jarrod Laybolt sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the inning.
Logan Gallant picked up the win, entering the game in the seventh inning while Mitch Ryan took the loss in relief of Isaac Compton.

Troy Coffin and Matt Barlow paced the Chevy attack with four hits apiece, while Gallant added three. Ryan had three hits for the Brewers. In the nightcap, Coffin scattered seven hits and struck out eight, while Laybolt crushed a three-run home run in the fifth inning. Brian Linton took the loss, with relief from Nigel Fisher.
