PEAKES, P.E.I. — The Cardigan Clippers scored 10 runs on nine hits to defeat the Peakes Bombers 10-2 Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.
Quinn Hughes pitched 3 2/3 innings, surrendering two runs on three hits, for the victory before giving way to Sam Walsh.
Rob Phelan threw four complete innings for the host Bombers with relief from Sean Corcoran.
Hughes went 2-for-3 at the dish while Carter MacLellan and Jacob Terbeek were both 2-for-4 in the win.
Phelan, Connor Myers, Tyson McInnis and Noah Stewart had hits for Peakes.
