PEAKES, P.E.I. — Troy Coffin scattered six hits and struck out seven in leading the Morell Chevies to a 6-2 win over the host Peakes Tee Bombers Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.

The Chevies opened the scoring on a Logan Gallant solo home run in the first inning. Peakes knotted the game 1-1 on a Connor Myers RBI single in the second.

Darcy Affleck made it 3-1 Morell in the third, slugging a two-run homer. Dillon Doucette narrowed the lead to 3-2 in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI single.

The Chevies tacked on three runs in the top of the fourth, with Scott Harper driving in a pair. Gallant finished the night 3-for-4 to lead the Chevies, while Harper and Affleck added two hits apiece. Connor Myers and Dan MacDonald had two hits for the Bombers. Rob Phelan took the loss.
