CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Alley Stratford Athletics defeated the Morell Chevies 4-1 Wednesday to take a 2-1 series lead in the best-of-seven Kings County Baseball League final.
Brady Arsenault pitched six strong innings in picking up the win while Jonathan Arsenault pitched the seventh for the save. Taylor Larkin suffered the loss with relief from Logan Gallant.
The A's scored three in the bottom of the fourth to break open a scoreless game. Adam Smith, Allister Smith and Jonathan Arsenault keyed the rally with RBIs.
The Chevies scored their lone run in the fifth and the A’s finished off the scoring in the fifth.
Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday in Morell at 7 p.m.
