CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Alley Stratford Athletics swept a doubleheader Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.
The Athletics defeated the Charlottetown Jays 12-2 in six innings in the opener before doubling the Charlottetown Expos 10-5 in Game 2.
Jonathan Arsenault went the distance in picking up the win in the opener while Craig Lawlor suffered the loss. Grant Grady, Randy Taylor and Dan O’Shea each had two hits for the A’s while Craig Cooper had two hits to lead the Jays.
Corey Dougay went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Expos, who were led by Elijah Hood who had two hits.
Seth Hewitt earned the win with Dougay recording the save. Jeremy Koughan was tagged with the loss.
