CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — John MacKinnon had three goals, including the equalizer with 6:42 left in the third period, Thursday as the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack tied the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils 4-4.
Damiyan Boyle scored the other goal for the Attack during Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action at Cody Banks Arena.
Justin Richard, Owen Stewart, Owen Matheson, Chris Koughan, Bates Ling and Noah Dow each had an assist for the home side.
Tristan Lea had a goal and an assist for the visiting Red Devils while Noah Brehaut added a pair of helpers.
Cole McKeigan, Will MacDougall and Sam Worth also scored while Luke Garnhum, Holden Bradley and Gavin Mason each had an assist.
Aiden Rose (Central) and Logan Birt (Pownal) were the goalies.
Pownal held 1-0 and 3-2 period leads while each team went 1-for-3 on the power play.
The Red Devils (8-7-2) and the Attack (7-5-4) were tied with Western (8-6-2) for second place in the five-team league entering Friday’s play.
