CARDIGAN, P.E.I. — Jacob Smith drove in the go-ahead run with two outs in the top of the seventh inning Sunday in Cardigan as The Alley Stratford Athletics defeated the Cardigan Clippers 5-4 in Kings County Baseball League action.
Corey Dougay, in relief of starter Dan O'Shea, picked up the win while Quinn Hughes, in relief of starter Isaac MacNeill, took the loss.
Brady Arsenault and Allister Smith each had two hits each to pace the A's. Jacob Terbeek was 3-for-3 for the Clippers while Sam Walsh and Carter MacLellan each had two hits.
