TIGNISH, P.E.I. — Two members of the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces swept the player-of-the-week awards in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League.
Curklan Fraser was named the offensive player of the week, and Koby Bridges took the defensive honour.
Fraser closed out the regular season with five goals, including the winner, in a 10-7 win over the Summerside Cover-All Construction Crunch. He added an assist in Tignish’s 5-1 victory over the North River Flames in Game 1 of the playoffs on Tuesday night.
Fraser only played nine regular-season games, but recorded an amazing 29 points in those contests.
Bridges was solid between the pipes, turning in a 25-save performance, in the Aces’ playoff opener. He also entered the Summerside game in relief after the Crunch opened up an early 3-0 first-period lead, and earned the victory.
