There was thick fog over the Commons on Tuesday; foghorns were sounding as I walked to an early ferry to Dartmouth. The nicest part of the soft, lovely morning was that all those tall glass and metal buildings that now loom over us all disappeared from the third storey up.
Our old, low, charming city of Halifax returned, if only temporarily.
