Calling Chard: asparagus and leek risotto with chicken | SaltWire

This is to Mr. Curtis  (Sept. 1 Guardian letter to the editor). Mr. Curtis, you should read the editorial, published beside your letter: A lesson from Maine. A town with no COVID history had a cluster of over 120 cases, all coming, it is believed, from one infected person. This is what we are being protected against. This is what we need to continue to protect against. While we are dangerously ill, we will not be thinking about what the Constitution allows us.

Now, in defense of the poor mistreated ostrich: To keep other Canadians out of the Island is not ostrichism. Some myth said, without proof, long ago, that ostriches bury their heads in the sand when they are frightened. Some of the ostriches on the Island are reported to have mutated beaks to dig into the clay. In Nova Scotia, the super ostrich has a diamond-tipped beak to dig into granite. Nay! All of it is a myth!  Ostriches do not bury their heads. The ones who tried it suffocated and had no offspring. The experiment failed. So, Mr. Curtis, we are not ostrichizing Canadians outside of our bubble, we are exercising prudent self-defence.
