I see absolutely no reason for MLA severance packages. Island MLAs are silent about Health P.E.I.'s policies for people acquiring their medical records. Island MLAs are silent about whether or not 2023 Canada Winter Games team athletes and their families have to self-isolate in their own provinces for two weeks before coming to P.E.I. Island MLAs are silent about whether or not the City of Summerside has an appropriate plan to upgrade or rebuild its Station 1 fire hall for the 2023 Canada Winter Games. P.E.I. doesn't have a provincial ombudsman. This way all MLAs can refuse to answer complaints from Island voters, including Election P.E.I. providing political parties voter information on people who vote. We need a change on P.E.I. with 57.1 per cent of our Island GDP coming from government spending. It is time to deny any and all MLAs a severance package.
