My response to the recent guest opinion (Thoughts from a rotational worker, Nov. 19). I am also a rotational worker with children and I have to say that Dr. Heather Morrison has been nothing but compassionate and totally bending the rules as much as she safely can for us to be able to still see our families. Point of the matter is that, as safe as I am out here in B.C. there are still hundreds of cases a day. If I ever took the virus home to P.E.I., I know that I would not spread it because I will do my part. My children will not be exposed because I brought it home trying to create good life advantages for them. I know I have to isolate so I spend longer periods away and longer periods home. It is what it is and you do what you have to do. To say that our health officials have done anything other than put their heart and souls into being empathetic and sympathetic towards all Islanders in all situations would be absolutely wrong!
