This act of vandalism (Mischief charges laid, June 22) should not be paid for by the taxpayers.

Why is the teen not paying to replace the new signs? The teen knew exactly what they were doing and knew it was wrong.

Sixteen-year-olds are not stupid. Make them pay for their vandalism, not the poor taxpayers. They have to learn that there are consequences for their actions.
