My name is Simon Lemay from the beautiful town of North Rustico. On Aug. 5, my wife and I will be celebrating our fifth anniversary of being a resident of North Rustico. It all started five years ago on a trip here to celebrate our 50-year wedding anniversary and to sightsee around this beautiful Island as we never had been on the Island before.
As a veteran of the Armed Forces, my wife and I have seen quite a bit of this world and country, and nothing can be compared to this Island. We have found this Island and the people living here so nice and generous and they have welcomed us and made us feel part of their community.
My wife and I got involved in different aspects of community work, and that makes our little town such a nice place to live. In brief, I am using this letter as a way to show how my wife and I are so thankful that we made the decision to retire here. My wife has lots of cousins here as her Dad was born around here in Rustico. The people here are generous and have a really good sense of humour and the way they look at life is such a pleasure. I might never be a real “Creeker” but I am working on it! A certain fine bartender told me it will take me a long time before I become one so hopefully I am still alive to qualify as one. My wife and I have no words to describe how awesome it is to live here. To all the people who know us and have helped us to get settled in — a big thank you. Merci Beaucoup de tous le monde de North Rustico
Simon Lemay,
North Rustico
