Here’s my dilemma.
I very much support Greta Thunberg and the young people who are demonstrating against our abuse of the planet. But I burn a lot of carbon myself. It’s not intentional. I drive a small car sparingly, I keep the heat down in my apartment and I turn off lights. But I live a fairly traditional North American lifestyle.
I’m all for asking political parties and governments to do more to curb greenhouse emissions. I’m all for telling corporations to be more earth-friendly. But the responsibility isn’t all theirs.
Perhaps the one I should be demanding more action from is the guy I look at in the mirror. How about you?
