EDITOR:
I was at the very well attended Environmental Issues Forum last evening (April 8) at UPEI. Congratulations to all of the organizers. The questions were excellent and so clearly and thoughtfully written. This is the question I’d have asked, had I had the chance – “My heart breaks when I think of all that we have destroyed and that will never come back, from tiny seeds and things we cannot see to giant whales and ice fields, creeks, big rivers and forests and air so polluted people are sometimes warned to stay indoors. To allow just a glimpse of these images into my soul is so painfully crushing. And I feel afraid. Do you feel the same? And if you do, would you allow these feelings to direct your decision making?”
I am looking forward to casting my two votes.
