I am writing in response to Don Wilson’s Sept. 12 letter to the editor, “The simple truth about vaping.” I strongly agree with the fact that vaping is an addiction.
One in every five high school students have a nicotine addiction because they think it’s “cool”. Wilson states that vaping has life threatening side effects.
As a high school student, I know that teenagers are aware of the harms of vaping and choose to ignore them. At school we have a “smoking corner” and students go out there during breaks and at lunch.
I personally think we should not be allowing students to smoke at all while at school.
These people will have increased health problems and their lungs will be ruined for the rest of their life.
In conclusion, vaping is very bad for you and I don’t understand how teenagers are willing to risk their life to be “cool.”
