The City of Summerside presently has a number of vacant properties within city limits. We have lost our Low Food outlet, which has been the focus of many residents very concerned about not being able to shop in the downtown area. I would like each candidate in all parties to make a statement on this issue as to what they would do if elected. This is the time for these issues to be discussed front and center. In my opinion, the City of Summerside requires increased marketing with all sources of government at the table. Our young people are leaving Summerside at a rapid pace due to no jobs or security. It has also been a complex concern, getting people to move back to Summerside , after being away for years. Time for the residents to stand up and be heard, on this very important issue.
