In his December 4, 2018, column, Richard Deaton alleges that I took him out of context. Maybe. Maybe not.
But then Deaton "jumped the shark," so to speak. He called me a "red-baiting" "McCarthyite" because I dared to mention the horrendous human rights crimes committed by communists worldwide. He also noted chillingly that my comments "had not gone unnoticed by others."
In fact, Deaton is the one gripped by a Cold War mentality. And I have more news for him. His own arguments have "not gone unnoticed by others" who have told me that his attacks on Christianity are both hateful and historically inaccurate.
Drawing a comparison between faithful Christians quoting from the Bible and Red Guards who murdered hundreds of thousands during China's horrific Cultural Revolution is so risible that it is beyond comment.
