Letter: No evidence, no argument

R.A. Jenkins, in his reply, answers none of my objections. If there was a flood 4,300 years ago, why is it the year 4715 in the Chinese calender? Or 6767 in the Yazidis calender?

They seem to have been fine during the flood.

He fails to explain evolution of colour, culture and language. He ignores the radical speed of evolution required for the "kinds" theory of Noah's arc to be possible. He ignores science.

He mentions a theoretical physicist as an expert on evolution. He discounts disease, starvation, war and every other population-depleting factor to get to his 7 billion number. He doesn't understand science or math.

Yahweh, or God, was originally part of the ancient Caananite pantheon. The Israeli people worshiped him over the other gods in the pantheon. That is why the commandment is “no other gods before me,” not “there are no other gods.”

There are hundreds of scientifically and morally wrong teachings in the Bible. Slavery, incest, rape and genocide are all allowed.

The most important thing to ask for is evidence.

Young earth creationists have none.

I could fill several copies of The Guardian listing evidence and sources. You have none.
