The Guardian headline Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1918: "Praise Be To God Who Giveth The Victory--Peace With Honour--Beauty For Ashes, The Oil Of Joy For Mourning, The Garment Of Praise For The Spirit Of Heaviness.” What a wonderful headline for a God-fearing people.

Fast forward 100 years. Atheist United Church minister keeps her job. This pretty much sums up how our Island and Canadian society has deteriorated over the last 100 years, but God keep our land glorious and free is still in our national anthem. Have we rejected God? Prayer and Bibles out of our schools. Sports has replaced Sunday school.

We are quick to call someone rude and crucify them because they hold a high-profile position. When we ourselves are many times rude and worse. Godless evolution is accepted over Godly creation in our own churches. Where is our Godly compassion and mercy?

Let us not continue to be a Godless Island and nation. Wake up and realize that God is in charge and his protection is no longer with us. Without God there is no joy, hope or life only eternal damnation.
