EDITOR:
During my recent annual visit to the Island, I read about a controversy in the media about installing a floating marina and sea-do port in front of Victoria Park.
Only simple minds could conceive of obstructing a billion-dollar view with a $50,000 eye sore.
A unique natural treasure like this park and water view deserves preservation, not destruction. For goodness sake, don't you know what you have here?
I certainly hope that the city reconsiders this construction project and looks at alternatives to gaining access to the water. As I read in the online Guardian, the poll question regarding how appropriate this project is split, essentially at 50/50 in favor and against. Surely, we can do better.
