EDITOR:
Whatever your view is on climate change there is one thing for sure – the Island’s ground water is our most valuable, and at this time, endangered possession. Yes, you as well as all Islanders own the water and we have trusted our government of the day to protect our interest. A decision to allow deep water wells is a decision for the off-Island interests and a decision against Islanders. Minister Brown, Islanders understand the pressure you are under. We realize that not only Mr. Irving, but also some self-interested Islanders using whatever means they have to force you to lift the moratorium on deep water wells. You have some soul searching to do. Our future is literally in your hands.
