I had the opportunity to see the matinee of Anne & Gilbert last week when a friend offered me two tickets she could not use. Having seen the play a number of years ago in Summerside, I could not offer a positive review at that time. But this play at the Guild on Oct. 11 was nothing less than wonderful. In fact, the script, the acting, the music and singing were all superb. I was completely in tune with the love story depicted in the play from start to finish and was even a little emotional at the conclusion … a happy ending to a lengthy affair of the heart(s). Bravo to all involved with this wonderful play. I had invited a friend and she, too, enjoyed the play. I would highly recommend this play in the future. It’s a gem.
