BUTTERWORTH, Virginia "Ginny" It is with great sadness we announce of the passing of Virginia Ruth Butterworth (nee Vessey), born December 12, 1940, from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Ginny passed Wednesday August 26, 2020 in California after experiencing a complication from surgery. Ginny was the last of the Vessey siblings and is predeceased by brothers George, Roy, Ivan and sisters Roma MacLean, Shirley Shaikh, and Judy Labrech. Ginny is survived by step-daughters Linda Murphy, Alix Campbell, and the Right Honourable Kim Campbell. She will be missed by the nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as she was always a big kid at heart. Ginny loved gymnastics, dancing, and could be heard miles away by her big laugh. She worked as a wardrobe consultant for the movies in Vancouver B.C. and it was there where she met the love of her life, Edwin Butterworth (deceased Dec 2018). He captured her laughter and love and whisked her away to Marina Del Rey, then finally Oakhurst, California. Private ceremonies will be held in Copperopolis California. Donations can me made in her name to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
