Shirley Maude Pursey

The death occurred at her home, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, of Shirley Pursey, of Rustico, beloved friend of Edwin Blacquiere, aged 75. Shirley was the mother of Cindy Simmons of Saint John, N.B. She is also survived by her aunt, Marion Good of Dalhousie Junction, N.B.; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Gallant (Charles) and Kathleen Burke-Smith (Michael); brother-in-law, Vernon Blacquiere; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Allan and Lillian (Court) Pursey; brothers, Maynard (Beth) of Dalhousie, Arnold “Arnie” (Helen) of Moncton and Todd “Homer” Pursey of Rustico; and nephew, Kevin Pursey of Moncton. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 2 - 4 p.m. Memorial celebration will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment at a later date.
