SHIRLEY DOUCETTE (RICHARD) 1928-2019 In loving memory of our mother,grandmother,and great-grandmother Our mother was born Dec. 20, 1928. She was the oldest girl of the "Richard Girls" of Water Street in Charlottetown. She was the loving girlfriend, partner,wife and "love of his life" to Art who was waiting for her in heaven. In addition to raising her family of three children, she loved her crafts and excelled at most things homemade. Going through Mom's boxes after her passing, scrapbook clippings of family achievements were found from over the past 70 years - she dedicated herself to her family. She was also active in the St. Pius X parish, loved to bowl, took up golf and had a green thumb when it came to all things garden. Later in life, she loved her bus tours to all parts North America and she was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. Mom passed away peacefully on December 2, 2019 with her family at her side holding her hand. She is lovingly remembered by her children Debbie (Hood), Rick (Deborah), Darrell (Tracey), by her grandchildren Terry Hood (Amanda), Colin Hood (Mike), Shannon Hood (Chris), Melissa, Chelsea, Brian (Raven), Jamie and great grand-children Lucas and Hayden Hood. Predeceased by her husband Art, by her brothers Eugene "Toots", John, Melvin "Mick" and Roland "Doc", and by her sisters Janet (Deware), Pat (Hennessey), Barb (Richard) and survived by her sister Betty (Randal).
