Rose Arsenault
ARSENAULT, Rose It is with great sadness that we, the children of Rose Henriette (née Caissie), better known to those who loved her as Rosie, announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 at the Summerset Manor, Summerside. Born on November 02, 1924 in St. Gilbert in the Parish of Egmont Bay she was the daughter of the late Sylvère and Marguerite (née Aucoin) Caissie. She is survived by 10 children: Roy (Dorise), Anne, Alvina Bernard, (Alcide), Lise Norring (late Roy), Dorise Cormier (Roger), Rose Maddix, Cécile Potter (Thomas), Noella (Conrad), Marcella and Richard (Bonita). She also leaves behind her precious 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. Also mourning her are her 3 sisters, Melva, Rita and Alvina also 3 sisters-in-law Rita Conway, Olive Caissie and Ella Caissie. Waiting to greet her with open arms are her husband Phillias, daughter Angéline, four siblings, Francis, Jos, Thérèse, Ernest and many relatives and friends. Rosie and Phil always welcomed our many relatives and friends into their home in Abram-Village no matter what time of day. They were always ready to throw a few more potatoes in the pot and they would stay awhile to eat, talk, laugh, listen and join in the music or play cards. Our home always felt like the happy meeting place to all who came to visit. We have so many fond memories of these dear times and we hope you do also. She is now resting in peace enjoying her new journey. Keep your own special moment with Mom in your heart. Mom we LOVE you and will definitely MISS you dearly. We will ALWAYS have our own special memories of you in our hearts. Goodbye and until we meet again.....The children of Phil and Rosie Arsenault. Resting at the Évangéline Funeral Home in Urbainville where, due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family gathering and service will be held in the funeral home chapel followed by interment in the Saint-Philippe et Saint-Jacques Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Rosie's memory to Muscular Dystrophy or Évangéline Funeral Home would be greatly appreciated.
