Reta May Mckenna

Our loving mother, surrounded by her family, passed peacefully into God's arms on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Reta McKenna (nee Callaghan) of Auburn, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late William McKenna and loving mother of Wilma Shea (Leonard), Janet Wilson (Donald), Gene McKenna, Helen McIsaac (Leonard), Adele McKellop (Ross) and Sheila Smith. Reta will be missed by her grandchildren - Ronnie, Patrick, Christine and Gary Shea; Colin and Melanie Wilson; Travis and Dylan McIssac; Christopher and Kaitlin Smith, as well as 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents - Ambrose and Delia (nee Boylan) Callaghan; brothers - Jack and Chester Callaghan; infant sister Marion; sisters-in-law Doreen Callaghan and Lillian Wood and brother-in-law Lorne McKenna. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m. The Catholic Women's League will hold a prayer service prior to visitation at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
