Phyllis Mary Traversy

TRAVERSY, Phyllis Mary It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Mary Traversy announces her passing on July 10th, 2020, at the age of 93 years at Toronto Grace Hospital in Toronto. Phyllis is lovingly remembered by her sons Philip of (Whitby, Ontario) and Michael of (Charlottetown, PEI). She was a loving Grandmother to Christen of (Maple Ridge, BC), Aaron of (Toronto, ON), Nathanael of Port Coquitlam) and Victoria of (Maple Ridge, BC). Phyllis was born on November 5, 1926 in Charlottetown, PEI. She was highly respected by family, friends and coworkers, and will be dearly missed. Most of her working life was with the Ontario Provincial Government at Queen's Park in Toronto. She traveled extensive across Canada, the United States and Europe. Phyllis comes from a proud Acadian/Scottish lineage. Her maiden name was Howatt and her mothers maiden name was Gaudet from Tignish, PEI. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, the Reactivation Care Clinic and the Toronto Grace Hospital in Toronto. Phyllis was laid to rest at Holy Cross/Assumption Cemetery beside her mother.
