Omer Lewis “Joe” Pineau

The death occurred peacefully at his late residence in St. Anne’s, on Monday, July 15, 2019, of Joe Pineau, beloved husband of Claudia Pineau (nee MacDonald), aged 80. Joe was the loving father of JoAnn Pineau (Grant Russell); step-father of Danny Walsh (Kimberly Saville), Darren Walsh (Eileen), Heidi Bernardi (Shawn) and Ray MacMillan; and pa-pére of Alicia, Caleb and Breanna. He is survived by his sisters, Alfreda Cormier (Valmont LeBlanc), Eunice Leger (Roger, deceased) and Cynthia Mooney (Gerard); sister-in-law, Alma MacDonald; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Rose (Pineau) Pineau; parents-in-law, Leo and Florence MacDonald; step-son, Tommy Walsh; sisters, Enid Watson, Marie Doiron (Ivan) and Jeannette Pineau; and brothers, Carol Pineau (Alma) and Roy Pineau (Mary). Joe was an entrepreneur at heart and loved working at his businesses, Joe’s Heating and Blue Jay Cottages. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, July 19, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
