Mary “Leila” Hanlon

Peacefully in her sleep with her daughter at her side on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Colville Manor of Leila Hanlon (nee Peters), aged 86 years of New Zealand, PE. Beloved wife of Jerard Hanlon and dear mother to Wayne (Judy), Dena Doyle (Jim) and Ian. Loving grandmother to Angela Hanlon (Nick), Kevin Hanlon, Mary Theresa Hanlon, Jane Hanlon (Nick), Shawn Paling (Erica), Jared Doyle (Leah), Kathryn Doyle (Jason), Emma Doyle and great grandmother to Cole and Owen. She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Survived by her siblings Ruth MacGregor (Walter), Doris Diamond, Myrna Reeves (Eddie), John Peters, Joyce Vokey (Bob) and sister-in-law Patty Peters. Predeceased by her parents Leonard and Albina Peters, brothers Cornelius “Keenie” (Mary Ann), Ray, sister Reina Breau (Lawrence), sister-in-law Juanita Peters and brother-in-law Kenny Diamond. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 7-9pm and Friday, December 21 from 9:30am-10:15am. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00am. Interment to follow in the St. Alexis Church Cemetery.
