Mary Fairclough Hooper

The death occurred peacefully, with confidence in her Lord and family by her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, of Mary Hooper (nee Acorn), beloved wife of the late Garth Hooper, of North Milton, aged 92. Mary was the loving mother of David (Dawn), Robert (Miriam) and Philip (Deborah); and grandmother to John (Lynn), Rebecca Dunn (Chris), James (Monika Srebro-Hooper) and Marcia; Mark, Kevin and Steven; Michelle (Graham Putnam), Stephanie Cole and Aaron Cole; and great-grandmother of Austin, Cassie, Eliana and Elyse. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Acorn (Alta); brother-in-law Allison Jewel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Garth, she is predeceased by her daughter, Catherine; sisters, Katherine Traynor (Don), and Helen Jewel; and brother, Milton Acorn. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow for visitation on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. Funeral will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Milton Station, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
