Margaret Evelyn "Peggy" Macinnis

We are saddened to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother and nana at the Beach Grove Home on Sunday, December 9, 2018, age 94 years. Peggy was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (nee Johnson) MacDonald of Glencoe, PEI and cherished wife of the late Charles MacInnis. She was predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law Gerard (Nanette) MacInnis. Peggy leaves behind her daughter, Marilyn (Harold) MacDougall and son's John (Sandra), Charles (Sally), Paul (Denise), and Reg (Marlene). Her rich legacy includes 30 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Peggy attended Prince of Whales College and graduating as a RN in 1945 from the Charlottetown Hospital. A very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Beach Grove Home whose love and exceptional care was such a blessing to Mom and our family. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Columba Church Cemetery, Fairfield. Visiting hours on Wednesday, December 12th 5 - 8 p.m. Donation's in Peggy's memory can be made to the PEI Right to Life, Beach Grove Home or St. Columba Church Restoration Fund. Members of the Nurses Alumni will hold a prayer service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. On-line condolences may be made at www.islandowned.ca
