Leonard ARSENAULT

Leonard Arsenault
ARSENAULT, Leonard E. Peacefully at the Garden Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 of Leonard E. Arsenault of Charlottetown age 92 years. Leonard was the son of Charles and Evangeline Arsenault of Abrams Village, PEI. Leonard left PEI as a young man to attend high school and university at the University of St. Joseph’s College in Memramcook, New Brunswick. Upon returning to PEI, he began a long and rewarding career with Agriculture Canada at the Research Station in Charlottetown. While he left the family farm as a young man, he was always connected to rural PEI through his career, and volunteer work with the PEI Rural Beautification Society. In retirement, Leonard volunteered for many years at Holy Redeemer Church, and with Meals on Wheels, tended to his garden and cheered on his Leafs. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Leonard liked nothing more than to be around his family. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee McNeill). Dear father of Natalie Chisholm, Laurie Lynch and Greg (Corena Hughes). Proud and loving grandfather of Matthew and Alexandre Lynch, and Aidan Chisholm. Leonard is lovingly remembered by his sister, Dora Caissie. He was predeceased by his brothers, Augustin, Edmond, Alphonse and Francois, and sisters Helen Cheverie, Rose Marie Victor, Madeline Arsenault and Sister Therese Arsenault CND. The family wishes to thank the management and staff of The Garden Home for their loving care during Leonard’s last month. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. Due to current restrictions a funeral mass (by invitation only) will be held at the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer with interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be made at www.islandowned.ca
