LAVOIE, Edward Joseph It is with great sorrow that the family of Edward Lavoie announce his death, the result of a tragic accident that occurred in Puerto Rico, on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Edward was 50 years of age. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rebecca Padilla; his proud parents, Karen and Andre Lavoie of Rusticoville; and his mother and father-in-law, Connie and Louis Padilla of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by his three step-children, Tiffany, Jeffery and Joshua; and many aunts and uncles. Edward was predeceased by his loving sister, Colette; and grandparents, Leonard and Lucy LeClair and Edward and Mary Lavoie. Edward has been working as a nurse at Duke University Hospital in North Carolina for the past 20 years. He excelled in his chosen profession with total dedication and passion. Due to health regulations there will be a private funeral held at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 10:30 am. The funeral will be live streamed on the Central Queen’s Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment in St. Martin of Tours and St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cumberland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
