Joseph “Alyre” Martin

The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, of Joseph “Alyre” Martin, formerly of South Rustico, following a courageous battle with cancer, aged 59. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Marie (Keith) Peters, Richard (Heather) Martin, Theresa (Donnie) Vissey, Leonard Martin, Leo (June) Martin, Tommy Martin and Shirley (Trevor) Buote; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alyre was predeceased by his parents, John “Edmond” and Mary “Emily” Martin (nee Doucette). Resting at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, South Rustico, for visitation on Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be no funeral by personal request. If so desired, donations in Alyre’s memory to St. Augustine’s Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
