Jeffrey Scott Forbes

Jeffrey Scott Forbes
Peacefully, with his family by his side at Bluewater Health on Monday, June 17, 2019, Scott passed away at the age of 65. He was the beloved brother of Lee Forbes (Mary) and the adored uncle of Buffy Forbes and Meighan Forbes (Darren Peters). Scott was also the lovable, doting Great Uncle to Dannie-Grace and Micah-Andrew Forbes-Currie. All his immediate family resides in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island where Scott visited several times a year. He relished these visits with his family and the memories made were precious to him. Scott was the loving cousin of Wayne Goring (Suzanne); Karen Campbell (John); Norman Scott (Laura); Krystal Butler (Tim) and Kelley Buscema (Peter). He was also the much loved, life-long friend of “His Sarnia Boys”. Their friendship sustained him through his illness and their devotion to their “buddy” was amazing. Scott had many good friends in the Detroit area. Through their mutual love of music they remained close despite the miles of separation for the past thirty plus years. Scott was also very grateful for his good friends in Toronto, where he resided for the better part of forty years. His professional co-workers at IATSE Local #123 were more than friends, they were family. In the first half of his career they were “on the road” for months and years at a time. Touring the world with artists and theatrical performances was grueling at times, but he loved every minute. He was a perfectionist and every performance had to have perfect sound. He was very proud of the work they produced and it was always about the sound and the music - only their best was the goal. Scott was predeceased by his loving aunts and uncles; Gertrude and Norm Scott, Betty (Goring) (Charles McPeak), and Keith Goring, and Roy and Kae Forbes. He was also predeceased by his devoted parents, Joseph Bruce Forbes and Donna Marie (Mitchell) who were so proud and supportive of both Lee and Scott. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date. A celebration of life will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends will be received for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the service at noon.
