It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful mother, nanny, sister, daughter and friend, Helen Rose (Carew) Campbell, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at age 65. She was the daughter of Lois Carew (nee Rayner) and the late John Carew; daughter-in-law of the late Marcellus and Mary Theresa (Molly) Campbell; and wife of the late Felix Campbell. Helen was the cherished mother of Mark (Carla), Sharon (Chris), Christopher, Colin and Paula; sister of Florence Coles (Ernie), Merrill Carew (Donna), Diane Carew (Rick Giffin); sister-in-law of Isabelle Schoenfeld (Ronald), Katherine Dingwell (Charles deceased), Theresa Campbell (Ron Davies), Helen Miller-MacKenzie (Cyril), John Campbell (Ethel), Edna MacNeill (Roy), Edward Campbell (Pauline), Eleanor Avery (Larry) and the late Leonard Campbell. Helen was also the beloved Nanny to Roman, Austin, Branden, Emily, Evan, Renee (Andrew), Kristen (Colby), Brayden, Dylan, Ethan, Jessica, Connor, Samuel, Arden-Rose and Taylor; and cherished friend of Harold Axworthy. She leaves behind a legacy of love from her extended family, numerous friends, and countless others who have considered her to be a second mother and nanny. Helen was a very busy and devoted person and she was a valued member of the Sherwood Church of Christ. She lived life to the fullest with the most contagious laugh and greatest smile. She will be missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those she has touched. Resting at Central Queens Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road for visitation on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Sherwood Church of Christ, 9 Lilac Avenue, on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 2 p.m. Interment immediately to follow in the Sherwood Cemetery. Due to allergies, please refrain from wearing scents. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Helen’s memory to the Sherwood Church of Christ or the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island would be appreciated.
