Harold Stead

Harold Stead
In Loving Memory of Harold Stead October 29, 1937- September 13, 2018 Family and friends were saddened by the passing of Harold Ivan Stead on September 13, 2018 at the Garden Home. Harold was born on October 29, 1937 to parents Ernest and Sadie (Brooks) Stead and his childhood was spent in Wheatley River. Harold married Wilma (MacDonald) on December 14, 1968 at Zion Church. From 1970 to 2006 they lived on the Lower Malpeque Road where they raised their three children Steven (Lisa), Stacey (Korey) and Scott. He was proud Bumpy to Mackenzie, Cedric, Alex, Montgomery, Sadie, Abby, Madison and Kaitlyn. Harold worked at J & T Morris, DB & J and Hillside Motors until he retired in 2004. He made many lifelong friends and was always thought highly of by his co-workers. Harold enjoyed bowling, watching hockey (especially his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs), listening to music, and spending time with his grandchildren attending their various activities. Throughout his years as an elder at Zion Presbyterian Church he served on various committees but especially dear to his heart was the Transportation bus ministry and the number of children he helped take to Sunday School over his years of service. With Sincere Thanks Thank you to all who attended the visitation and funeral service as your presence was a source of strength for us as a family. Thank you to those who took time to send flowers, cards, emails, food or to share with us stories about Harold and what he meant to you. Your kindness in our time of loss will not be forgotten. Thank you to Belvedere Funeral Home, Rev. Steven Stead, Pallbearers, Flower bearers, groups who attended in a body, and the doctors and nurses at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. A special thanks to the staff of the Garden Home who provided Harold with the very best of care. Wilma, Steven, Stacey, Scott & families
