JAY, Gloria Jean (nee Mitchell) The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, December 28, 2020 of Gloria Jean Jay of Pisquid East, age 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Jay and loving mother of Lloyd (Donna), Arthur (Donna), Sterling (Donna), and Melvin (Katie) and special nephew Darren (Marla). Nanny of Kristie, Jordan, Mandy, Bruce, Nicolle, Cassandra, Sarah, Brittany, and John, and Great-Nanny of Sawyer, Brooks, Hayden and Cameron. Survived by siblings Roger (Jean), Leslie (Karen), Doug (Bonnie), Allison (Valerie), George, Marlene (Paul), and Beverly (Joey), sister-in-law Audrey (Ray) Shaw, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Ida (Coffin) Mitchell, siblings Richard and Valerie (Omar) Harvie, and sister-in-law Mabel (Reg) MacNevin. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from St. John’s United Church, Mount Stewart (by invitation only) at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Mount Stewart Peoples Cemetery.
