Frederick Huard

Frederick McNair Huard died tragically as a result of a kayaking accident May 30th in Malpeque Bay, P.E.I.. Born November 20, 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he was the beloved son of Jean (Jay) McNair of Indian River, P.E.I. and the late Captain Frederick A. Huard (1975). Also pre-deceased by sisters Ingrid (1976) and Mercedes (1989). Survived by his Mother; sister Michaela Huard (husband Greg Hibberd and children Alex and Elena Hibberd); and brother Allan Huard (wife Ellarose Brophy and children Warren Huard (Julie Drisdelle) and Thea Huard (Craig Power). There will be no funeral and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, P.E.I. Should you wish to recognize Fred in some way, we suggest raising a glass in his honour and telling a good story: if it involves the Canadian North, grizzly bears or beer - league hockey, so much the better! Donations to the Humane Society of Prince Edward Island, or the Guardian newspaper, London UK, would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
